2015 Yamaha VMAX Carbon launched

In 1985 Yamaha introduced the V-Max, so this year marks its 30th birthday. To celebrate the occasion, a special version of the VMAX (as the V4-powered cruiser is now known) has been created.

The commemorative bike is called the VMAX Carbon. As that name suggests, its side covers, mudguards and tank cover are made from carbon fibre. Also part of the extra specification is a pair of Akrapovic exhaust silencers.

Available now, the VMAX Carbon’s on the road price is £18,749.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo supermini is now available with the innovative two-cylinder TwinAir petrol engine. Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
