Mercedes-AMG reveals its 2017 DTM liveries

Formula One has influenced Mercedes-AMG Motorsport’s choice of colour schemes for the 2017 DTM season.

The C 63 DTM cars of Gary Paffett and Robert Wickens are obviously inspired by the Mercedes-AMG W08 EQ Power+, while a common sponsor means the pink examples of Lucas Auer and Edoardo Mortara match this year’s Force India VJM10.

Despite their various paintjobs, all six Mercedes-AMG contenders are visually linked by ‘digital flow’ graphics that run along the lower portion of their bodywork.

In a slight change to the sporting regulations for this year, every event will comprise two races that each last for 55 minutes plus one lap. Both feature mandatory pit stops and, to place more emphasis on team tactics and driver skill, tyre warmers are banned.

The 2017 DTM begins on the 7th of May at the Hockenheimring.
