Six Vantage Heritage Racing Editions unveiled

Aston Martin is the manufacturer being celebrated by the ‘Central Feature’ sculpture at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. In response, the company’s ‘Q by Aston Martin’ bespoke division has created a collection of special models.

The Vantage Heritage Racing Editions each honour a different racing car from Aston Martin’s past. All feature a unique colour scheme, as well as the Sports Plus package, lightweight wheels and carbon fibre interior trim pieces.

They also come with a new aero kit (which is now available as an option for regular versions of the Vantage, too). Comprising a front splitter, dive planes and a rear wing, it produces 194 kg (427 lbs) of downforce at 190 mph (305 km/h).

In total, Aston Martin intends to produce just sixty examples of the Vantage Heritage Racing Edition. Customers will get to choose from these six liveries:

‘The Record Breaker’ (silver with green) – commemorates ‘Razor Blade’, a 1500 cc car that set class records at Brooklands in 1923.

‘The Italian Progettista’ (red with white) – inspired by the Aston Martin Ulster which finished third overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1935.

‘The David Brown Era’ (green with yellow) – evokes the DB3S.

‘The Group C Monster’ (white with blue and red) – remembers the short-lived and ultimately unsuccessful AMR1 campaign of 1989.

‘The Le Mans Winner’ (blue with orange) – wears iconic Gulf paintwork, as seen on the DBR9 that achieved GT1 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both 2007 and 2008.

‘The Next Generation’ (lime with green) – resembles the current Vantage GTE, a competitor in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
