2013 Fiesta Van launched

Following the Fiesta passenger car’s facelift back in September, Ford has now applied a similar treatment to the van version.

The exterior updates focus on a restyled front end which incorporates a larger single grille, new headlights with LED daytime running lights and a redesigned bonnet. On the inside, new switchgear, displays and seat materials all feature and the centre console has been modified.

Operators will have a choice of 1.25 litre petrol, 1.5 litre diesel or 1.6 litre diesel engines. In ECOnetic guise, the 1.6 litre unit achieves a creditable 85.6 mpg (3.3 l/100km) and CO2 emissions of 87 g/km thanks partly to lowered suspension, a stop-start system, low rolling-resistance tyres, an aerodynamic rear under-tray and special wheel trims.

As would be expected for a vehicle of its size, the Fiesta Van isn’t particularly commodious. Nevertheless, it offers a one cubic metre load space and can accommodate payloads of up to 508 kg (1,120 lbs).

The 2013 Fiesta Van is available to order now, with customer deliveries due to start in January.
