2014 Silverado High Country

Chevrolet is adding to its 2014 Silverado full-size pick-up range with the launch of a premium High Country trim grade.

Available only in crew cab guise, the interior features saddle brown leather upholstery as well as heated and cooled front seats. Also fitted as standard are front and rear park assistance, a Bose audio system and the MyLink multimedia interface that’s controlled via an 8” touchscreen.

The options list isn’t particularly extensive, but it does include the High Country Premium Package which consists of an integrated trailer brake controller, adjustable pedals, a heated steering wheel and the driver alert pack.

On the outside, the High Country gains body-colour bumpers and unique 20” chrome wheels. Its door handles, mirror caps, side mouldings and unique grille are all chrome-plated, too.

Power is provided by a 5.3 litre direct injection EcoTec3 petrol V8 that produces 355 bhp (265 kW / 360 PS), although a larger capacity 6.2 litre engine will also be offered. Both have the capability to switch to a fuel-saving four-cylinder mode under light loads.

North American sales of the Chevrolet Silverado High Country are due to begin this autumn.
