Datsun Go+ unveiled
Following the launch of the Go hatchback in July, the revived Datsun brand has announced a second new model named the Go+.
Specially designed for the Indonesian market, it’s an MPV with 5+2 seating. Up to the B pillar the Go+ is identical to the supermini-sized Go, but aft of that an increased overall body length of 3,995 mm (13’ 1”) provides extra space for either more cargo or an optional third row of seats. Power comes from a 1.2 litre petrol engine connected to a five-speed manual transmission.
Both the Go and Go+ will be built at Nissan’s plant in Purwakarta, Indonesia. Sales are due to begin next year with prices set below 100 million rupiah (roughly £5,530 or €6,600 at current exchange rates).
