Two Suzuki motorcycle concepts for Tokyo
As well as five car concepts, Suzuki will also be exhibiting a pair of motorcycle design studies at next month’s 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
The first, called Recursion, sees the return of a technology last seen on mass market bikes in the 1980s. Yes, this attractively styled sports middleweight has an intercooled turbocharger bolted onto its 588 cc parallel-twin engine. With forced induction becoming increasingly common on cars, could the Recursion mark the beginning of a similar trend for two-wheelers?
Joining it in Tokyo is going to be the diminutive electric-powered Extrigger, which is aimed at novice riders. Sharing its motor with the e-Let’s scooter, the Extrigger also features an aluminium frame, disc brakes for both wheels and an upside-down front fork.
Suzuki has yet to confirm production plans for either of these bikes.
