2014 BTCC entry list
This year’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship has the potential to be a cracking season.
For starters, 31 drivers representing 11 different manufacturers are going to be on the grid. What’s more the racing won’t be complicated by having different categories as, for the first time, all of the cars conform to the Next Generation Touring Car regulations.
Just as importantly the entry list has quality as well as quantity. Indeed, it includes seven BTCC ex-champions: Andrew Jordan (who won in 2013), Gordon Shedden (2012), Matt Neal (2011, 2006 and 2005), Jason Plato (2010 and 2001), Colin Turkington (2009), Fabrizio Giovanardi (2008 and 2007) and Alain Menu (2000 and 1997).
The 2014 BTCC begins at Brands Hatch on the 30th of March. In the UK, all races will be broadcast live on ITV4.
