Kawasaki Ninja H2 and H2R prices

Kawasaki is charging a hefty £22,000 in the UK for its new street-legal Ninja H2. That’s a lot of money for a motorcycle, but apparently most of the bikes in the initial batch have already found customers.

As announced at the recent EICMA show in Milan, the Ninja H2’s specification includes KYB suspension components, an Öhlins electronic steering damper and a supercharged 998 cc engine which produces up to 207 bhp (154 kW / 210 PS) thanks partly to ram air induction. It’s due to arrive at dealers next March.

Even more expensive is the circuit-only Ninja H2R. A staggering price tag of £41,000 buys numerous enhancements, such as carbon fibre bodywork that features aerodynamic appendages to keep things stable at speed.

And the ‘R’ version should be much quicker than the regular Ninja H2 courtesy of a seriously upgraded motor. Output is increased to 305 bhp (228 kW / 310 PS) – or 321 bhp (240 kW / 326 PS) with ram air – while peak torque is 165 Nm (121 lb/ft). Completing the package are paddock stands for each wheel and a pair of tyre warmers.
