BMW Motorrad exhibits the Concept Lac Rose
For this year's Wheels and Waves Festival – which is currently taking place near Biarritz in France – BMW has created a one-off custom bike.
Named Concept Lac Rose after a stage of the Paris-Dakar Rally, its look is inspired by the BMW that won the event in 1985.
Based on an R nineT, numerous off-road features are fitted. These include a high front mudguard, long-travel suspension, knobbly tyres, an oil cooler protector and a bash plate beneath the twin-cylinder boxer engine.
A large-capacity fuel tank and bespoke valve covers are also part of the specification. A tall (but narrow) windshield, hand guards and a thickly-padded single seat complete the transformation.
