2017 Honda X-ADV specifications

Being an amalgamation of large scooter and adventure motorcycle, Honda's new 2017 X-ADV is certainly a very unusual bike.

Built around a tubular steel frame, features include long-travel suspension, wire-spoke wheels, hand guards, an aluminium bash plate and a five-position adjustable windscreen. For convenience, there's 21 litres of under-seat storage and keyless ignition.

Power is provided by a twin-cylinder engine that's been tuned to deliver plenty of low- and mid-range torque. It comes mated to a dual-clutch transmission as standard (a traditional manual gearbox isn't available).

When sales begin, customers will have a choice of Victory Red, Matt Bullet Silver, Digital Silver Metallic or Pearl Glare White Tricolour colour schemes.

Pricing has yet to be announced.
