A 220 mph Toyota Land Cruiser at SEMA 2016
As part of its thirty-vehicle display at this year's Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas, Toyota has created six 'extreme builds'.
In the true spirit of SEMA, the most outrageous is a specially-modified Land Cruiser. The 5.7 litre V8 engine in the aptly renamed Land Speed Cruiser gains twin Garrett turbochargers plus a bespoke ATI transmission.
Consequently, Toyota reckons this enormous SUV is capable of reaching 220 mph (354 km/h).
To help keep everything stable at such a high velocity, the upgrades also include drastically lowered suspension, a rear diffuser, a tailgate spoiler and a huge front air dam. Perhaps wisely, a full roll cage is fitted too.
