Ford GT '67 Heritage Edition announced

Last year's GT '66 Heritage Edition celebrated Ford's outright win in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, so it's only fitting that 1967's victory is similarly honoured.

The new GT '67 Heritage Edition evokes the GT40 Mk. IV driven by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt to first place at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Accordingly, the car's colour scheme comprises Race Red gloss paintwork with white stripes and graphics.

Also adding to the special look are silver door mirror caps, red brake calipers and a silver satin clearcoat finish for the 20” forged alloy wheels.

Inside, the seatbelts and contrast stitching are red, while matte carbon fibre covers the door sills and centre console.

Although an exact production volume hasn't been disclosed, Ford is saying that “limited quantities” of the GT '67 Heritage Edition are going to be available. To underline their exclusivity, each example will come with a numbered plaque.
