2018 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 sales begin
Privateer racers can now place their orders for the latest GT-R Nismo GT3, but deliveries aren’t due to begin until January 2019. The 2018 model, which is already being run by official partner teams in various championships, boasts a number of improvements compared to the previous version.
For instance, the 3,799 cc engine has gained dry-sump lubrication and it’s mounted slightly lower and further back. Both the car’s centre of gravity and weight distribution benefit as a result.
An output of more than 542 bhp (405 kW / 550 PS) gets sent to the rear wheels only via a redesigned six-speed sequential transmission. Other enhancements include a revised double-wishbone suspension set-up and stronger brakes.
The starting price for a 2018 GT-R Nismo GT3 is ¥60,000,000 excluding taxes. At current exchange rates, that’s approximately £410,500 or €469,800.
