2019 Ford Mustang Supercar revealed
Ford Performance, Shell V-Power Racing and Tickford Racing have together produced a new contender for the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. The Mustang Supercar, which is due to make its race début at the Superloop Adelaide 500, will be the only two-door model on the grid.
Power comes from a 5.0 litre, naturally aspirated V8 engine. Output – likely to be between 616 bhp (460 kW / 625 PS) and 650 bhp (485 kW / 660 PS) – gets sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission.
Six examples of the Mustang Supercar are going to compete this season, run by three different teams. The entries are:
