2020 Cadillac CT5-V first view

Cadillac has revealed the high-performance CT5-V. This V-Series version of its all-new CT5 mid-size saloon is distinguished by a mesh grille, 19” wheels, a rear diffuser, four exhaust pipes and an almost total lack of chrome.

Power comes from a 3.0 litre V6 gasoline engine with four valves per cylinder and two low-inertia turbochargers. Acceleration and top speed figures have yet to be released, but output is rated at 355 bhp (265 kW / 360 PS) with 542 Nm (400 lb/ft) of peak torque.

As standard, the CT5-V features a Hydra-Matic ten-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive and an electronic limited-slip differential. All-wheel drive is also going to be available.

Chassis upgrades include a specially-calibrated Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 variable damping system, Performance Traction Management and, for the front axle, Brembo four-piston fixed brake calipers.

Deliveries of the CT5-V are due to begin across North America early next year. Prices will be announced closer to the car’s launch date.
