2021 Triumph Rocket 3 R Black revealed
Triumph has introduced a blacked-out version of the Rocket 3 R. Named (unsurprisingly) the Rocket 3 R Black, production is being limited to 1,000 units for distribution around the world.
The bodywork, headlight bezels, radiator cowls and heat shields are all painted black. Continuing the dark theme, there’s a black anodised finish on various components including the brake and clutch levers, handlebar clamps, bar-end mirrors, brake and gear-shift pedals, heel guards, side stand, footrests, swing-arm guard and rear frame forging.
Furthermore, the mighty 2,458 cc three-cylinder engine gains an all-black exhaust system and a black powder-coated intake cover. Output remains rated at 167 PS (165 bhp / 123 kW) and peak torque is still 221 Nm (163 lb-ft).
A carbon fibre front mudguard, black badges and a certificate of authenticity complete the package.
Like its companion special edition – the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black – the Rocket 3 R Black costs £1,000 more than the equivalent regular model. Consequently, UK prices start from £21,000.
