Street Scrambler Sandstorm Edition unveiled
Triumph has updated its Street Scrambler for 2021. Among the cosmetic changes are a new “adventure-oriented” seat cover and a side-mounted embossed aluminium number board. Furthermore, the bike’s engine now complies with Euro 5 emissions standards.
The 900 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled unit still produces 65 PS (64 bhp / 47 kW), while 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) of peak torque arrives at just 3,250 rpm. That output is delivered via a five-speed gearbox, and there’s a choice of Road, Rain or Off-Road riding modes. Switchable traction control and anti-lock braking are standard, too.
To mark the launch of the 2021 Street Scrambler, a Sandstorm Edition is going to be available alongside the regular model.
This special version is distinguished by a unique colour scheme which combines Sandstorm paintwork with Matt Storm Grey and Ironstone fuel tank stripes.
In addition, an enhanced specification includes a high-level front mudguard, a headlight grille, rubber knee pads, an aluminium sump guard, and a tail tidy with a compact LED rear light.
However, only 775 examples of the Sandstorm Edition will be built for worldwide distribution. They’re likely to sell out quite quickly, as the premium being charged by Triumph isn’t high.
