Three new BMW X black-themed editions
BMW has introduced the X5 Black Vermilion Edition, X6 Black Vermilion Edition and X7 M50i Frozen Black Edition. All combine BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic paintwork with some cosmetic and equipment upgrades.
On the Black Vermilion Editions, the most obvious visual tweak is a red finish on the grille bars. It definitely treads a fine line between being stylish and naff.
The X5 and X6 models additionally gain laser headlights, matt Orbit Grey 22” double-spoke alloy wheels, red brake calipers and sun-protection glass. Inside, they feature Merino Black leather upholstery with red stitching, front Comfort Seats, and an anthracite Alcantara headlining.
In total, 50 units each of the X5 Vermilion Edition and X6 Vermilion Edition have been allocated to the UK and Ireland markets. Deliveries are expected to begin in September 2021.
By contrast, only five people across the UK and Ireland will have the opportunity to buy an X7 M50i Frozen Black Edition.
As well as matt Orbit Grey 22” Y-spoke alloy wheels, this X7’s enhanced specification includes laser headlights, high-gloss black brake calipers, Shadowline exterior trim, sun-protection glass, an M Sport exhaust system and, for the interior, an anthracite Alcantara headlining.
