Chevrolet creates ‘The Chevy Beast’ concept

For this year’s SEMA Show, Chevrolet has built ‘The Chevy Beast’ high-performance off-road concept truck. Sitting on a shortened Silverado chassis, it features lightweight custom bodywork which is attached to a tubular steel structure.

Long-travel suspension, widened tracks and 20” Raceline RTM260M Avenger True beadlock wheels shod with 37” AMP Terrain Attack M/T tyres will all be useful when tackling rough terrain. Ground clearance is 13.5”, while the approach, break-over and departure angles are 45.0°, 35.0° and 46.5° respectively.

Power is provided by a 659 PS (650 bhp / 485 kW) LT4 6.2-litre V8 supercharged engine. That output is sent to all four wheels via a ten-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
