The G 63 Edition 55 marks 55 years of AMG
A special G-Class model has been created to commemorate AMG’s 55th anniversary.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Edition 55 features grey 22” forged wheels, a chrome fuel filler cap, and a choice of either Obsidian Black or Opalite White paintwork.
Inside, red and black two-tone Nappa leather upholstery is combined with matt carbon trim pieces. Unique elements include stainless steel door sill tread plates, a Dinamica microfibre-covered steering wheel, and embroidered velour floor mats.
As per the regular G 63, power is provided by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo petrol engine. It sends 585 PS (577 bhp / 430 kW) plus 850 Nm (626 lb-ft) of peak torque to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
In Germany, opting for the Edition 55 upgrade will add €17,850 to a customer’s invoice. Orders are being accepted until October 2022.
