Honda S2000 Modulo Climax

Most motor show concepts are bold visions of future products, with many unlikely ever to make the transition to showroom model. Honda however has done completely the opposite with its Modulo Climax concept, which is based on the S2000 roadster that was discontinued over three years ago.

Due to be unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, which runs from the 11th to the 13th of January, the Climax has been designed to help showcase Modulo, Honda’s in-house aftermarket parts brand.

The modifications aren’t too extreme, but at least the result is tasteful. Among the changes are restyled bumpers, upgraded wheels, a pair of aerodynamic fairings behind the head restraints and a unique burgundy and black interior.

Still no word from Honda on whether an S2000 replacement is coming though, despite much speculation and many rumours.
