Seat Altea Copa editions

Seat has simplified its Altea and Altea XL ranges by deleting the S Emocion trim grade. That leaves just the S and SE versions but, for the time being at least, those two surviving variants are pretty much redundant thanks to the arrival of the Copa editions which offer lots of free extra kit.

The S Copa takes the regular S specification and adds dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, passenger seat height adjustment, two more speakers for the audio system, front fog lights and 16” alloy wheels.

SE Copa variants meanwhile get the Seat Media System that features satellite navigation, Bluetooth, a DAB tuner and an SD card reader. Also part of the package are automatic wipers and lights, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and rear parking sensors.

Another thing that has changed is the engine line-up which, after the withdrawal of the 1.4 85 PS and 1.4 TSI 125 PS petrol units, now consists of just three options.

The Altea and Altea XL Copa editions are due at Seat dealers this month, with prices starting from £16,425:
