Volkswagen Scirocco Million

Volkswagen is commemorating the production of the millionth Scirocco coupé by launching a special edition. Called the Scirocco Million (what else?), it comes with a number of cosmetic tweaks.

The exterior features Deep Black Metallic paintwork with contrasting twin grey stripes that run the length of the body. Grey is also the colour used for the door mirror caps, and the effect is completed by the rear privacy glass, R-Line sills and bumpers, 18” ‘Interlagos’ alloy wheels, smoked rear light clusters and various ‘Million’ decals.

On the inside, the specification includes black leather upholstery with orange stitching, a black roof lining and stainless steel pedals. Special floor mats and unique ‘Million’ inscribed door sill plates are part of the package too.

Buyers are going to get a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines, with the most powerful option being the 207 bhp (155 kW / 210 PS) 2.0 litre TSI petrol unit.

However, the Scirocco Million will only be available in two markets: Germany and - somewhat inexplicably - China. Cars destined for the latter country differ slightly, as they are equipped with 17” ‘Spa’ alloy wheels and a lighter tint for the glass.

Prices in Germany start from €27,325.
