Dodge 100th Anniversary Editions

2014 marks the centenary of Dodge, so to celebrate the brand has unveiled a pair of special models.

The two-door Challenger and four-door Charger 100th Anniversary Editions are based on their respective Pentastar V6-powered SXT Plus or Hemi V8-powered R/T Plus trim grades.

Both have been given the same treatment, which begins on the outside with unique 20” polished five-spoke wheels, a granite crystal finish for the grille and commemorative badges. Eight paint colours are available, but the de rigueur choice has to be an exclusive shade called High Octane Red Pearl.

Moving to the interior, the 100th Anniversary Editions feature either Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa leather upholstery with a ‘custom cloud’ overprint and brass-coloured stitching. Also included are die-cast seatback badges, graphite trim pieces, embroidered floor mats and a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel.

Additionally the Challenger version, which carries a price premium of $2,500, gets white instrument faces, Mopar sill plates and a Boston Acoustics sound system. The Charger meanwhile comes equipped with black instrument gauges and a Beats audio system. It costs $2,200 extra.

The Dodge Challenger and Charger 100th Anniversary Editions will be offered in limited numbers from early next year.
