Fiat 500c 1957 Edition arrives in North America

Following last year’s launch of the very retro 500 1957 Edition, Fiat has created a cabriolet version for North America.

As per the hatchback, the 500c 1957 Edition is based on the existing Lounge trim grade. Customers will have a choice of Celeste (celestial blue), Verde Chiaro (light green) or Bianco (white) paintwork, while the leather-upholstered interior combines Marrone (brown) and Avorio (ivory) elements.

Key to achieving that period appearance are the 16” body-coloured wheels. Despite being made from forged aluminium, they manage to resemble old-fashioned steel items (thanks partly to their separate hub caps).

Along with a power-operated cloth roof, the specification includes classic-style badges, an upgraded audio system and a sports suspension set-up.

Providing power is the familiar 1.4 litre MultiAir engine which is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Alternatively, a six-speed automatic transmission is on the options list.

Prices for the 500c 1957 Edition start from $24,700 in the United States. That figure means it costs $1,900 more than a regular 500c Lounge.
