2018 Indian Scout Bobber unveiled
Apparently, Scout owners like to give their bikes a custom bobber look, so Indian has decided to create an official factory version.
As well as numerous black components, unique Scout Bobber features include tracker handlebars, shortened mudguards, 16” cast wheels shod with larger tyres, vented exhaust shields, a two-tone leather-covered saddle and special tank badges.
What's more, the riding experience should be fairly different. That's because the foot pegs have been moved 38 mm (1.5”) aft, the rear suspension is 25 mm (1.0”) lower and a cartridge-type front fork is fitted.
Like a regular Scout, the Bobber is powered by a 1,133 cc, fuel-injected, V-twin engine. This delivers 92 bhp (70 kW / 94 PS) and 98 Nm (72 lb/ft) of torque via a six-speed transmission.
When European sales of the Scout Bobber begin towards the end of 2017, customers will have a choice of Thunder Black, Thunder Black Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red or Star Silver Smoke paintwork.
UK pricing starts at £11,299.
