Audi e-tron FE04 unveiled
Since the inception of the Formula E series for electric-powered single-seaters, ABT Sportsline has been involved with support from Audi. Indeed, reigning champion Lucas di Grassi won the category's first ever race when driving for them.
For the 2017-18 season – which begins with the Hong Kong ePrix on the 2nd of December – the German marque is upping its involvement to full manufacturer entrant. A change of name to Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler reflects that commitment.
There's also an updated car. The Audi e-tron FE04 boasts a more efficient powertrain that now features a single-speed transmission instead of the previous three-speed gearbox.
Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt continue as the two drivers, while Allan McNish has become the new team principal.
