Mercedes-Benz X 350 d 4Matic price revealed
Is there much demand for an expensive premium pick-up truck in the UK? Well, Mercedes-Benz is about to find out, because orders are now being accepted for the X 350 d 4Matic.
This range-topping X-Class boasts a 3.0 litre V6 turbo-diesel engine. It sends 254 bhp (190 kW / 258 PS) plus 550 Nm (405 lb/ft) of peak torque via a 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed automatic transmission to a three-mode 4Matic permanent all-wheel drive system.
Consequently, the X 350 d 4Matic can accelerate from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 7.9 seconds before going on to a top speed of 127 mph (204 km/h). Combined cycle fuel economy is a reasonable 31.4 mpg (9.0 l/100km), while CO2 emissions are 236 g/km.
Only one trim grade is being offered. Named ‘Power’, it comes with 18” six-spoke alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED tail lights and power-folding door mirrors.
Inside, the specification comprises Artico leather and Dinamica microfibre upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, automatic climate control, an ‘Audio 20 CD’ infotainment system and cruise control. Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Downhill Speed Regulation and Traffic Sign Assist are among the standard safety features.
All of that equipment isn’t cheap, though. Prices start at £46,020 (including VAT), but the final invoice amount could end up being considerably higher thanks to an extensive list of cost options.
Like every other X-Class, the X 350 d 4Matic is available solely from Mercedes-Benz Vans dealers. Deliveries are due to begin this November.
