Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition revealed

To commemorate half a century of ‘Z’ sports cars, Nissan has created a special version of the current 370Z. The 50th Anniversary Edition – which has been unveiled ahead of its public début at the New York International Auto Show – gains numerous cosmetic embellishments.

First and foremost, an eye-catching white and red colour scheme recalls the Brock Racing Enterprises Datsun 240Z that competed in Sports Car Club of America championships during the 1970s. Alternatively, a silver and black finish is being offered for anybody who prefers a slightly less conspicuous look.

Also included in the specification are 19” alloy wheels with red rim stripes, power-adjustable heated seats, leather and suede upholstery with unique stitching, an Alcantara-covered steering wheel and several 50th Anniversary badges and decals. The rear spoiler is deleted, though.

Nissan has based the 50th Anniversary Edition on the 2020 370Z Sport. Power comes from an unmodified 3.7 litre V6 engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Availability outside of North America has yet to be confirmed.
