UK prices for the 2020 Kia XCeed

Kia has added a fourth body style to its Ceed line-up. Despite sharing the same underpinnings, the new XCeed – which is described as an “urban crossover with coupĂ©-like European design” – is 85 mm (3.3”) longer and 43 mm (1.7”) taller than a Ceed hatchback. In fact, apart from the front door panels, the two variants don’t share any exterior bodywork.

At launch, XCeed customers will have a choice of ‘2’, ‘3’ and ‘First Edition’ trim grades. All come as standard with LED headlights, lane keeping assistance, forward collision avoidance, cruise control, keyless entry, a reversing camera and a touchscreen-controlled infotainment system that’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible.

Extra equipment on the ‘3’ includes 18” alloy wheels, an electronic parking brake, a larger 10.25” TFT LCD widescreen display, satellite navigation and UVO Connect telematics with a dedicated smartphone app. Furthermore, the interior benefits from dual-zone climate control, cloth and fake leather upholstery, privacy glass and heating for the front seats and steering wheel.

Sitting atop the XCeed range is the ‘First Edition’. This version adds various items such as a 12.3” TFT instrument cluster, JBL premium audio, wireless phone charging, blind spot collision warning, tyre pressure monitoring and a panoramic sunroof.
