Hardly any technical details have been released, but according to Jim Campbell, Chevrolet’s vice president of Performance and Motorsports, “The C8.R is much more than just a race-tuned version of the 2020 Corvette Stingray. It’s a culmination of many years of testing and development between GM Design, Propulsion, Engineering and the Corvette Racing team.”

January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona is going to be the C8.R’s competition début. A two-car entry is planned, with the #3 painted in traditional Corvette yellow with silver accents. By contrast, the #4 wears a livery that reverses those colours.
