BMW Motorrad Concept R 18 /2 revealed
Earlier this year, BMW Motorrad displayed the retro-inspired Concept R 18 at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Now, for the EICMA show in Milan, a variation on the same theme has been devised.
The new bike is logically called Concept R 18 /2 (pronounced “slash two”). Like the Concept R 18, it features an 1,800 cc twin-cylinder boxer engine that sits within a long and low black frame. Other design elements are noticeably different, though.
Candy apple red metallic was the striking paint finish chosen for the minimalist fairing, tear-drop fuel tank and mud guards. Contrasting dark graphics add some extra visual interest, while cast wheels – 19” at the front and 16” at the rear – complete the look.
