BMW Motorrad introduces the R nineT /5
In 1969, BMW began building motorcycles in Berlin and the ‘/5 series’ R 50/5, R 60/5 and R 75/5 models were launched. Now, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversaries of those two events, the R nineT /5 has been announced.
Suitably based on the already retro-inspired R nineT, the /5 edition boasts Lupine Blue metallic paintwork that’s complemented by double pinstripes and a smoke effect. Among the other special features are fork gaiters, knee pads on the fuel tank, chrome mirrors and a double saddle with grab straps and white piping.
17” wire-spoke wheels, Automatic Stability Control and heated handlebar grips also come as standard. A unique badge fixed adjacent to the petrol cap completes the bike’s specification.
