Next year’s British Touring Car Championship is going to follow a familiar pattern, with thirty races divided equally across ten events.

It’s hoped that the British Touring Car Championship will be able to return to normality next season. TOCA, organiser of the series, has just issued the 2021 schedule which comprises the now traditional thirty races.

TOCA is tentatively hoping that the delayed 2020 British Touring Car Championship will begin at Donington Park in August. The compressed timetable includes nine events of three races each, with the final rounds due to take place in the middle of November (when sunset occurs at around 4 p.m.).

Next year’s British Touring Car Championship will retain its established format of ten events with three races at each. The 2020 schedule does include several alterations, though.

As has become the norm, 2019’s British Touring Car Championship will consist of ten events that each include three rounds. However, there are going to be some major changes.

Every car that competes in the MSA British Touring Car Championship requires a TOCA BTCC Licence (TBL). With a maximum of 32 TBLs available, they're naturally coveted by race teams.

Series organiser TOCA has announced the dates for the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

A record 32 drivers, 18 teams and 13 different models from 11 manufacturers are set to compete in this year’s British Touring Car Championship.

The Vauxhall Astra has had a successful history in the British Touring Car Championship, having been used to help secure five drivers’ titles in the past. And now the model is set to return to the series, in full Next Generation Touring Car specification.

Judging by the provisional dates for the 2013 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, the organisers have quite rightly taken the view that if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it. After five rounds, each consisting of three races, the 2012 British Touring Car Championship has already reached its season mid-point. With four wins, Honda Racing’s Matt Neal leads the drivers’ standings with 221 points. Twenty-five drivers will be taking to the grid for the 2012 British Touring Car Championship, proof that the Next Generation Touring Car formula has succeeded in attracting competitors to the series. Honda Racing’s all-new Civic NGTC race cars were first seen at a Brands Hatch test session last month. Then they were painted plain white, but now the colour scheme that will be worn in this year’s British Touring Car Championship has been revealed. As expected, the design is predominantly white with red and black stripes. A deal with Yuasa has also been confirmed, which will see the battery manufacturer becoming the renamed Honda Yuasa Racing Team’s title sponsor for the next three years. Honda Racing has revealed its challenger for the 2012 British Touring Car Championship. Built to Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) spec, the new Civic made its public debut at a Brands Hatch test session. Lead driver (and current BTCC Drivers’ Champion) Matt Neal was in a positive mood, saying, “It will be interesting to see how the car performs, but I’m optimistic that we’ll walk away from today confident we have a championship winning car.” His team-mate, Gordon Shedden, added, “The feedback on the new Civic NGTC car so far is incredibly promising and I’ve been itching to get into the car since the end of the 2011 season.” Another test is planned at Donington Park on the 23rd of February, ahead of the championship’s opening round at Brands Hatch on the 1st of April.
