Opel has revealed the new Rocks-e Kargo, its rebadged version of the Citroën My Ami Cargo battery-electric delivery vehicle.

This year’s World Car Awards include a World Electric Vehicle of the Year category for the first time. However, it seems to be somewhat redundant, because all of the top three finalists for the main World Car of the Year prize happen to feature pure-electric powertrains too.

Vauxhall and Opel have revealed the estate version of their next-generation Astra. Known as the Sports Tourer, it’s more practical than the recently-unveiled five-door hatchback.

Opel has sourced its latest model from another Stellantis brand. The new pure-electric, two-seat Rocks-e is essentially a rebadged version of the Citroën Ami.

If the new third-generation Movano looks familiar, that’s because it’s another version of the X250 ‘Sevel’ large van which first appeared in September 2006.

Vauxhall and Opel have unveiled the Vivaro-e Hydrogen van, which uses hydrogen plus a fuel cell to generate energy. This new model will be sold alongside the existing battery-electric Vivaro-e.

Opel Corsa-e owners can now make their car resemble the Corsa-e Rally which currently competes in the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup.

Following last month’s reveal of the pure-electric Combo-e van , Vauxhall and Opel have unveiled the Combo-e Life. This fully-glazed passenger-carrying version is aimed at both families and business users.

An electric-powered Combo compact van is due to arrive at Vauxhall and Opel dealers this autumn. Named Combo-e, it looks virtually identical to the existing combustion-engine versions and cargo space is unaffected.

Vauxhall has introduced the pure-electric Vivaro-e Life, which can carry up to nine people across three rows of seats.

Last month, Vauxhall / Opel unveiled the production-ready Vivaro-e pure-electric van. Now, the virtually identical Citroën e-Jumpy (e-Dispatch in some markets) and Peugeot e-Expert are all set to go on sale as well.

Vauxhall and Opel have launched the 2021 Vivaro-e, which is due to arrive at dealers later this year in both panel van and six-seat double cab guises.

When the updated Vauxhall / Opel Movano van was revealed back in March, there was no mention of powertrains. Now that omission has been addressed.

Fifteen examples of the Corsa-e Rally are due to compete in next year’s inaugural ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup. This new car – which will appear in public for the first time at the 2019 IAA Frankfurt International Motor Show – is aimed at customer teams.

Opel Special Vehicles took inspiration from The A-Team for its latest project. The O-Team Zafira Life – which is based on the ‘Medium’ production model – pays homage to the custom GMC van that appeared in the TV show.

Like the closely-related Peugeot 208 , the all-new Vauxhall / Opel Corsa will be offered in pure-electric form. Indeed, the Corsa-e shares its powertrain with the recently-announced e-208 .

It’s described as “new”, but the latest Vauxhall / Opel Movano seems destined to become merely an interim model.

Vauxhall has confirmed that its new Vivaro van is going to be offered initially with a choice of five diesel engines. All of them meet the latest Euro 6D Temp emissions standards, plus they’ve been assessed using the more realistic Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).

Earlier this month, Vauxhall and Opel unveiled the people-carrying ‘ Life ’ versions of their new Vivaro. Now the all-important cargo van model has been revealed.

After Groupe PSA bought Vauxhall and Opel in 2017, some major product changes were inevitable. In particular, the Vivaro van – which had previously shared its design with the Renault Trafic – was an obvious candidate for replacement.
