Lexus GX Overland Concept arrives in Canada

Lexus Canada is displaying the GX Overland Concept at this year’s Montreal International Auto Show.

Based on a 2020 GX 460 fitted with the Executive package, it’s intended to demonstrate that wilderness-exploring ability and luxury don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

In addition to the regular GX’s permanent four-wheel drive, Multi-Terrain Select system and five-stage Crawl Control, the Overland Concept gains proper off-road tyres, longer-travel suspension and plenty of under-body protection. Furthermore, a unique front bumper incorporates a winch.

Setting up camp should be a quick and easy process, thanks mainly to an Alu-Cab pop-up roof tent. A shower cube and a generously-sized awning are also provided.

Inside, the stock specification remains unaltered. Therefore, the Overland Concept features three-zone climate control, leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, rear-seat entertainment screens, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio set-up and satellite navigation.
