Citroën introduces the 2021 Berlingo Rip Curl
According to Citroën, the new Berlingo Rip Curl special edition “is a fusion of colour, comfort and modularity” designed for anybody whose lifestyle involves a lot of leisure.
Based on the existing Berlingo Flair, the exterior is enlivened by subtle Rip Curl graphics as well as ochre-yellow inserts around the front fog lights and on the side Airbumps. The only standard paint is Natural White, but if a solid finish doesn’t appeal then Onyx Black, Cumulus Grey and Platinum Grey are £545 options.
The five-seat interior features unique three-tone upholstery that incorporates an ochre-yellow strip. A set of Rip Curl floor mats is also included in the specification.
With a 100 bhp (75 kW / 101 PS), 1.5 litre, four-cylinder BlueHDi diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox, on-the-road prices start at £24,345.
Alternatively, a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder PureTech petrol unit is available which sends 128 bhp (96 kW / 130 PS) via an eight-speed automatic transmission. While this might be a more attractive powertrain for many people, choosing it raises the vehicle’s cost to at least £26,260.
Citroën dealers are already accepting orders for the Berlingo Rip Curl, ahead of the first deliveries early next year.
