SpaceTourer ‘The Citroënist’ Concept on show

At 2019’s leisure vehicle trade fair at Le Bourget, Citroën is displaying its SpaceTourer ‘The Citroënist’ Concept.

This compact camper van provides sleeping accommodation for two people. Features include an elevating roof, as well as a modular multimedia cabinet that can be used as a fully-connected desk. The interior also incorporates floor-mounted storage rails for a pair of special Martone ‘Rider The Citroënist’ bicycles.

The SpaceTourer’s 148 bhp (110 kW / 150 PS) 2.0 litre BlueHDi diesel engine and six-speed manual gearbox have been augmented by a Dangel four-wheel drive system. Therefore, traversing rough ground or negotiating a muddy camp site should be a lot easier.

Ford B-Max first view

Ford has released the first images of the production-ready B-Max mini-MPV. Due to make its public debut at March’s Geneva Motor Show, the new arrival should provide some tough competition for the likes of the Vauxhall / Opel Meriva, Citroën C3 Picasso and Škoda Roomster. For added practicality the rear doors slide and Ford claims that the B-Max will offer class-leading load space with flexible seating. However, its unique feature is the absence of any B-pillars, although the actual benefit of such a gimmick is maybe difficult to pinpoint. European sales of the B-Max will begin later this year, and it’ll be available with Ford’s innovative 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine. Prices have yet to be confirmed.
