Scrambler Steve McQueen Edition launched
To coincide with the introduction of its updated 2021 Scrambler 1200, Triumph has created a special Steve McQueen Edition.
As well as Competition Green paintwork, the bike’s unique features include hand-applied gold pinstripes, gold Triumph logos, brushed foil knee pads and a brown bench saddle. In addition, a small graphic on the fuel tank depicts Steve McQueen astride the Triumph TR6 that he rode in ‘The Great Escape’.
Stainless steel engine protection bars, an aluminium radiator guard and an aluminium high-level front mudguard are also part of the enhanced specification.
Worldwide production is going to be restricted to just 1,000 examples. The individual build number will appear on the handlebar clamp, along with a laser-etched engraving of Steve McQueen’s signature.
Like the regular 2021 Scrambler 1200 XC and XE, the Steve McQueen Edition is powered by a revised twin-cylinder engine which now complies with Euro 5 emissions standards. Output is rated at 90 PS (89 bhp / 66 kW), while the peak torque figure is 110 Nm (81 lb-ft).
In the UK, on-the-road prices for the 2021 line-up start at:
