2021 Abarth 695 Esseesse unveiled
Production of the new Abarth 695 Esseesse is being limited to 1,390 examples. Half of them will come with Scorpion Black paintwork, while the other 695 are going to have a Campovolo Grey finish.
Special features include an aluminium bonnet and twin Akrapovič titanium exhausts. Together, those components reduce the car’s weight by 10 kg (22 lb).
Also fitted is the ‘Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile’ tailgate spoiler which first appeared on the 2019 695 70th Anniversario. Manually adjustable to twelve positions between 0° and 60°, it can generate up to 42 kg (92 lb) of downforce when travelling at 124 mph (200 km/h).
Power is provided by the familiar 1.4-litre T-jet turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 180 PS (177 bhp / 132 kW) plus 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque via a manual transmission. Consequently, the 695 Esseesse is able to accelerate from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h).
Completing the enhanced specification are white 17” alloy wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, Koni FSD dampers, Sabelt front seats and a touchscreen-controlled Uconnect infotainment system with satellite navigation.
Pricing and an allocation number for the UK have yet to be confirmed.
