Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 announced

An enhanced version of the Acura (in North America) / Honda (everywhere else) NSX GT3 is being offered to customer racing teams for the 2022 season. Named NSX GT3 Evo22, it features numerous updates.

Power still comes from a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that’s mated to a six-speed sequential transmission. However, the Evo22 gains better intercoolers to improve performance consistency regardless of the ambient conditions.

The suspension should be more effective too, thanks to geometry tweaks and revised spring rates. In addition, a modified wheel attachment has been designed to facilitate quicker changes.

Increased fluid tank sizes are expected to be especially useful at endurance events, plus there’s now a greater number of options for the air conditioning and headlight specifications. A new FIA-mandated rain light completes the alterations.

As per the current NSX GT3, the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio is going to build the Evo22’s chassis structure. Final assembly will then take place in Italy, courtesy of JAS Motorsport.
