Power comes from the same 999 cc four-cylinder engine that’s used by the naked GSX-S1000. It produces 152 PS (150 bhp / 112 kW) at 11,000 rpm, plus 106 Nm (78 lb-ft) of peak torque at 9,250 rpm.

Numerous assistance technologies fall within the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS). Among them are three engine maps, a ride-by-wire throttle, a bi-directional quickshifter (so there’s no need to touch the clutch lever when changing gears), and five-mode traction control.
