Morgan introduces the Plus Four LM62
In 1962, a Morgan Plus 4 SuperSports driven by Chris Lawrence and Richard Shepherd-Baron won the 2.0-litre GT class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of that victory, Morgan has launched a road-going limited edition.
The Plus Four LM62 can be ordered with either Jet Green or Tertre Rouge paintwork. Both options are complemented by a Heritage White hardtop, silver-painted wire wheels and large roundels displaying ‘29’ (the 1962 car’s race number).
Also included in the unique specification are front spot lights, black mohair side screens, a domed rear panel, a Le Mans-style fuel filler cap, and an active sports exhaust.
The interior boasts heated Comfort Plus seats, black leather upholstery, embroidered head restraints and Tawny wood trim.
Appropriately, production will be restricted to just 62 examples, with each featuring a numbered dashboard plaque. The Plus Four LM62 is available worldwide in either right- or left-hand drive guise. There’s a choice of manual or automatic transmissions, too.
In the UK, prices start at £78,995.
