Design sketches preview the next Amarok
Volkswagen has released some “near-production” sketches which show the styling of its all-new Amarok.
Described as a premium pick-up, it’s essentially a badge-engineered version of the 2023 Ford Ranger. Consequently, both models appear to be visually similar, albeit with their own front- and rear-end treatments.
The interiors are expected to offer more differentiation, though. Indeed, in terms of comfort and ambience, Volkswagen is claiming that the Amarok’s cab “raises the benchmark” for the segment.
Amarok assembly is going to take place alongside the Ranger at Ford’s factory in Silverton, South Africa. A launch date has yet to be announced.
