A diesel engine for the Volkswagen Multivan
Volkswagen is now offering a diesel engine option for its new Multivan.
The 2.0-litre TDI unit – which produces 150 PS (148 bhp / 110 kW) plus 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of peak torque – becomes an alternative to the previously-announced petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrains.
Diesel versions of the Multivan come with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard, and all are front-wheel drive. They can accelerate from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 11.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 118 mph (190 km/h). Combined cycle fuel economy varies between 42.2 and 43.5 mpg (6.7 and 6.5 l/100km).
Customers will have a choice of either Life or Style trim grades, in either short- or long-wheelbase guise.
