A unique Phantom Gallery by Alastair Gibson
There’s a space on the dashboard of every Rolls-Royce Phantom called the Gallery, which is where owners can display a specially-commissioned piece of art or design.
An example of what’s possible is the Carbon Veil. Created by artist and sculptor Alastair Gibson for the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, it consists of 150 layers of carbon fibre that have been permeated with resin and compressed. The resulting billet is coated with lacquer and sealed under a pane of glass.
Contrasting two-tone leather upholstery and anthracite brightwork complement the Carbon Veil Gallery. On the outside, this particular Phantom features gunmetal paintwork, an orange coachline and the Black Pack. Furthermore, as a finishing touch, the bonnet-mounted Spirit of Ecstasy is made from carbon fibre.
