Sir Peter Blake designs a Bentley art car

Bentley and British pop artist Sir Peter Blake have collaborated to create a special Continental GT V8 S Convertible.

A suitably arresting palette uses a unique shade of blue as the main bodywork colour. It's combined with British Racing Green lower elements, a fuchsia radiator shell and a yellow bonnet that features a huge hand-painted heart motif.

To ensure nothing detracts from those various hues, the grille inserts, door mirror caps and drop-top roof are black. There's plenty more visual variety inside, though.

On each of the four seats, the leather upholstery has been individually dyed Imperial Blue, Cumbrian Green, Hotspur and Newmarket Tan. That quartet all appear together on the steering wheel, while the gear lever is bright pink. Piano Black wood veneer trim and bespoke doorsill kick plates provide some finishing touches.

The Sir Peter Blake Bentley will be auctioned by Bonhams at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on the 24th of June. All sale proceeds are going to the Care2Save Charitable Trust.
