A Lexus LFA Art Car by Pedro Henriques

For the first time ever, Lexus will be represented on the 24 Hours of Spa starting grid. The 2018 event – which takes place this weekend as a round of the Blancpain GT Series – is going to feature a pair of RC F GT3 race cars run by Emil Frey Lexus Racing.

To commemorate the Japanese brand’s appearance at the Spa Francorchamps circuit, Portuguese artist Pedro Henriques was commissioned to create a unique LFA Art Car.

Explaining his work, he said, “My inspiration for this livery was the idea of fluidity present in the contemporary life, where things are in constant movement and it’s hard to freeze anything.

“The lines in the drawings follow this feeling of going everywhere and never stopping; a progressive life. I wanted to reach an organic feeling by using handmade material and liquid lines in the elements spread through the car. By doing this I hope to express a feeling where the car becomes a less defined shape, in constant mutation in its movement.”
