2020 Shelby GT350R unveiled
Thanks to some chassis upgrades, the latest Shelby GT350R should deliver a better driving experience compared to its predecessor.
A major change sees this particular Mustang gain the GT500’s front suspension set-up. Furthermore, improved steering feel and response are promised because the electric power assistance has been recalibrated and there’s a new rack.
As before, the 2020 GT350R is powered by a 5.2 litre V8 engine that’s paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. Peak output and torque are 526 bhp (392 kW / 533 PS) and 581 Nm (429 lb/ft) respectively.
The car’s standard equipment list includes 19” seven-spoke carbon fibre wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, MagneRide variable damping and a carbon fibre rear wing. Recaro front seats are fitted too, but to save weight the rear bench is deleted.
